Trial by Fire - APPLICATION - Roo'ip

Species:  Ki'nye - A old fashioned Pirate based life-styled species that inhabits the planet Dyclin 10 (Die-K-lynn 10), a large expanse with ancient treasures and jewels from the past when an Ancient Irken Empire thousands of years ago killed off the inhabitants when they were just beginning to make way. Seeing them as threats (being that many of them are WAY taller than most of the Irken soldiers) the Tallest at the time, Irken Almighty Tallest Black and White, ordered that the entirety of Dyclin 10 to be destroyed. After succeeding, Black and White left the planet to rot in the cosmos to enjoy nachos and donuts.

Now after a few million years of evolution all over again since the ruined state the planet, the Ki'nyes now inhabit the planet without worry of the Irken empire since Tallest Black and White dripped mayo all over the map chip of that solar system, so Red and Purple have no idea of its existence. And hence as well why the species is so low tech, they have only been around for a fraction of the evolution train.

Remember, Ki'nyes (including Roo'ip) love adventure and adrenaline pumping goodness, even local farmers and salesmen, who have the less adventurous careers, enjoy any kind of action in their lives here and there. That being said,  exploring and taking risks are simply part of their nature, sometimes clashing with their lifestyle and personality a bit. Especially since a lot of their world has dangerous dinosaur like creatures in it.

Physical Description:

~ Slender build

~ Tan/Brown/Dark olive green fur

~ Pattern - Tribal

~ Large Blue eyes

~ Medium to long fur

~ Long tail

~ Small Sharp fangs (normal for Ki'nye)

~ Bandage on tail is to hide a bald spot (no scars or nothing really)

~ Hole in right ear wing (birth defect - always had it)

Bio:  Roo'ip grew up with her Aunt (Mer'ja) and Uncle (Kron'ip) on her father's side after both her mother and father perished during her birth by the hands of an unknown rogue pirate crew. Roo was given to a surviving member of her father and mother's ship just after she was born (her umbilical cord still hanging free when her father cut it and her body still covered in gooiness). The member found out where her father's brother and wife lived and was given to them. She grew up on a Clen'tor (large chicken/raptor things meant for food, feather and fur silk for clothing and transportation) ranch and was taught how to ride one and hunt on one. She would normally go hunting with her uncle and it's where she learned how to shoot a bow and arrow and how the make them as well.

Even though her Aunt Mer didn't like the idea of her becoming aware of the pirating lifestyle, fearful from Roo becoming like her mother and father, Uncle Kron took it upon himself to show Roo the lifestyle many Ki'nyes, including her parents, lived. The career of Journeying and Treasure hunting, which Roo absolutely adored. Satisfied and overjoyed with the new, adventurous life her uncle showed her, she begged to become a Journeyman's apprentice and was soon giving the chance on her 16th (Ki'nye years) birthday, she joined a pirate crew lead by Marc'lee to start her new career and where she also met two of her most cherished friends, Ti'lee (Marc's son and a captain-in-training) and Bif'nuuk (a studying navigator).

However after 3 more years (Ki'nye) of being with the crew of Marc'lee, Marc was planning on retiring within the next week, Roo, Ti, and Bif would be the successors of their Captains boat with all the members being contracted with Marc'lee they would be retiring with him. Ti has Roo and Bif contracted under his name.

Together after a year's work they were able to snag a small bounty of a beautiful pink crystal known as Lit'ala, but it won’t last them the entirety of the year alone and hunting season in their region is becoming dangerous with winter on its way. That is until a certain Irken camera bot landed on her planet out of nowhere and gave her the chance to help her struggling crew family.

Strengths:  

~ Flexible and Durable

~ Swift on her feet

~ Agile at fast speeds

~ Very good at balancing with her tail

~ Her tail is very strong/Good for gripping/swinging/grasping things

~ Great in the trees/Forests and Mountainous regions are where she thieves

~ Good at surviving in hostile lands (lives in one with large beastlike dinosaurs)

~ Doesn’t need to rely on technology

~ Decent in both long range and up-close fighting

~ Cautious when she knows she needs to be (any other time she jumps right in) but takes to things in a confident way always

~ Has long toes for a reason, Roo like all Ki'nyes can grip and grasp things easily with her long, finger like toes/That being said, she uses her feet to an advantage in combat


Weaknesses:

~ Phobia: Fear of losing those that are close/Large vast oceans with big waves

~ She is able to fight, kill and survive but it doesn’t mean she likes doing it/Those with feelings, futures and personalities she finds extremely hard to put down even knowing it's either her life or theirs

~ Her tail is extremely important in her balance, if it's damaged severely bad things happen like loss of balance which can cause her sickness and even death

~ Gets caught in the beauty of things and most times doesn’t see the danger coming

~ Isn't good at swimming in rough, uncontrollable water

~ Can get attached to things and feel terrible if something happens to them

~ Doesn’t do well in Plains/Oceans/Tundra or anything that restricts movement (that being said she can do ok in the desert if there are a lot of valleys and such)

~ Isn't that good with high powered technology - teleporters/lazer guns/ect.


Miscellaneous:

~ She can make almost anything out of almost anything that is usable (doesn't enjoy wasting anything - food/bones/feathers/old machinery/ect.)

~ She's adorable and sweet - hard to make enemies

~ Her tail can withhold her own weight and a little bit extra no problem, but another person is a different story

~ Her favourite food is fried leaches and rice (she also enjoys any type of seafood)

~ Freshly pumped blood is a rich gold hue/Old, used or dried blood is a dark grey to black

~ Accompanying her on this new adventure is her 3 year old Clen'tor, Nico. He serves as a walking storage unit, a steed, a source of shelter and warmth, and a helpful companion with hunting and not going insane with isolation/His reference here: divazu.deviantart.com/art/Nico…

Supplies:

1. Hand Bag:  With her almost always she carries her hand bag close, and no it's not because she likes to shop, she likes to collect things like flowers, stones and gems. Within her hand bag (3.) are a few extra meals, medication, canteen of fresh water and her journal (2.)

2. Her Journal:  With being on a ship without excess to things like internet or videogames, one of Roo's favourite things to do is write in her journal, press plants and flowers in the pages and sketch the landscape and creatures she sees, she loves insects, especially butterflies and dragonflies, so sketching them helps eat up time including waiting for an opponent.

3. Other Necessary Supplies:  Besides the normal, boring things like food and extra clothing, Roo also brings things along the lines of cooking utensils, sowing supplies, extra money, tools like screwdrivers, hammers and wrenches, extra blankets and cloths.

Weapons:

1. Hatchet:  Made from the finest of steel and stone and given to her by her Uncle Kron (he is a blacksmith) when she turned 15 years to help with hunting and just anything else in general so it's very prized to her and she uses it with the sense of pride and confidence in everything she does. If she loses it she will go and search for it and won't stop until it is returned and/or fixed.

2. a) Bow:  Crafted by her own hands this is her third and best bow to use. It's made with Faqu'in wood, a rubbery, durable wood that can take a lot of stress without breaking. It's hard to craft things from this wood but she did have help from her Uncle and succeeded with pride. Again this is very special to her.

2. b) Arrow:  Being from a planet that is still in its steam powered, candle lit days guns are overly expense, loud, hard to craft and hard to repair. So being able to craft a simple way of get long distance shots helps extremely, but it does take some time to make a decent set of arrows, in that case she uses them sparingly.

3. Small Bone Dagger:  This was a tooth that Roo fashioned into a dagger from an event on her first ever journey. She was attacked by a large predator (basically a T-rex with fur) and later found one of its teeth stuck in a tree. It's very strong and sharp but she'll only use it for combat if there's absolutely nothing else at her disposal meaning she'd use anything around her before using her dagger.

This is my entry form and stoof for I hope everything's in order and whatnot seeing this is my first time EVER entering in an OCT, hopefully real life doesn't get in the way of that with everything's that's happened and changed during the summer. God I hope nothing distracts me... I'm not in the mood for it...

Anywho so yes, this means a comic/story (depending how I feel) will be submitted and stuff and so on and so forth.
